Kocks ring is a composite ring used in Kocks rolling mill, which has excellent strength, toughness and resistance to high temperature wear. The manufacturing method includes the use of seamless steel tubes as the inner layer, and the outer layer is made of high-carbon and high-cobalt wear-resistant steel. In the smelting process, the first ferric niobium, pig iron, scrap steel and metal cobalt mixed heating melting, when the temperature reached 1583-1605℃, add ferrochrome and ferric molybdenum, molten steel after melting to adjust the composition, and finally achieve the outer metal liquid and the inner layer of seamless steel pipe solid metallurgical combination 12.
Technical characteristics and application of Kocks rolling mill
The Kocks mill, which uses three-roll reducing sizing technology, was developed by Friedrich Kocks in Germany in 1991. This technology has the following characteristics:
· low temperature rolling : the minimum rolling temperature is below 800℃, which meets the requirements of hot engine rolling and improves the mechanical properties of rolled parts.
· temperature control rolling : produce fine grain structure, reduce the tensile strength and hardness of rolled parts, reduce the need for subsequent annealing.
· high efficiency deformation : the rolled part has small width, high deformation efficiency, energy consumption is reduced by about 30%, and the cross section deformation of the rolled part is uniform.
· accurate tolerance : with free sizing rolling and wide pass adjustment range to ensure product dimensional accuracy.
· low wear : reduced pass wear, low speed difference between roll and rolled piece, reduced pass wear 34.
Manufacturing process and material characteristics of Kocks roller ring
The outer layer of Kocks roller ring is made of high-carbon and high-cobalt wear-resistant steel, and the inner layer is seamless steel pipe.
The Kocks roll ring is used in a rolling mill with three roll rings arranged at an angle of 120° to each other. lt is also called as a Y-mill because of the center line of the ring pass is like the English letter Y. Its basic features:
(1) The width margin of the grooving is large, and the rolled piece is not easy to be folded during rolling.
(2) The rolled pieces are surrounded by pressure on three sides, the deformation is even, the splitting head is significantly reduced, and the accidents of continuous rolling pile caused by splitting head are eliminated.
(3)The trace extension is even, and the wear of each groove is even.
(4) A set of grooving drawing can be used in different kinds of steel rolling.
(5) Compared with the common rolling mill under the condition of the same area, the cutting depth of the roll ring is small, so as to reduce the wear of the hole groove and improve the product quality.
