There are five or three types of strip levelers recommended for cold-formed section steel: roller type, seven-roller type and nine-roller type. Most open-end cold-formed steel sections are five-roller type, and most closed-end cold-formed steel sections are seven-roller type. Five-roller or seven-roller levelers are normally used on small and medium-sized welded pipe units. Some welded pipe units using thin steel strips can be equipped without levelers.
It can also quickly transport the steel belt to the looper for storage. Of course, the repeated elastic-plastic strip levelers are all roller-type. The strip steel is leveled by bending between the two rows of rollers of the roller-type leveler. The more times of repeated bending cycles, the more stable the leveling process will be and the higher the leveling quality will be.
The operation of the leveller is still a bit complicated, and we may encounter some problems during use. In this case, what adjustment operations should we do.
When the roller of the common leveler is worn, that is, the roller needs to be changed when the roller cannot be levelled even under great pressure. This is often encountered! When the uneven surface is wavy at the same time after straightening, we need to immediately adjust the pressure of the upper arch and increase the pressure of the whole upper roll. Of course, we must pay attention to personal safety when adjusting!
The reason why the steel strip emerges from the rear end of the leveler and bends downward is that the lower roll at the outlet end is too low to be properly raised;
The steel strip end of the leveller is bent upward because the pressure of the upper roll is too large, so the lower roll at the outlet end can be adjusted to reduce the pressure.
